82% of 2003 GM Vehicles to Retain ABS as Standard Equipment

April 16, 2002

Eighty-two percent of GM’s 2003 models will retain ABS as standard equipment (179 out of 219 models) versus 90 percent for 2002. ABS remains standard on all vehicles in the Cadillac, Saab, and truck models. Additionally, ABS will be offered as an option on some of GM’s base car models, offering the ABS either as a free flow option or in a safety package. Most of GM’s vehicles that have ABS optional in the base models will have ABS as standard in the up-level models.
