Ford to Offer SUV Anti-Roll System

The 2003 Navigator and other Ford Motor Co. vehicles in the 2003-model year will offer rollover protection as an option. Lincoln plans to announce the introduction of the anti-roll system in the New York auto show. A Lincoln spokesman said the redesigned Navigator is scheduled to go on sale this summer and the rollover protection option will be available later in the model year. Ford said it plans to add side-curtain airbags in all its sport/utility vehicles by 2005.
