City of St. Louis Buys Chevy S-10 E-85

March 25, 2002

The city of St. Louis has bought a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 E-85 vehicle. Chris Amos, commissioner of equipment services for the city, said the city’s air pollution control department is using the vehicle. He said the vehicle is filled at an E-85 pump at a local gas station. “We wanted an E-85 because we needed the flexibility to use gasoline for longer trips outside the city,” Amos said. The city’s air pollution control department also operates a Toyota Prius and two CNG Honda Civics.
