Chrysler Group Extends Powertrain Protection Coverage

January 3, 2002

Chrysler Group has extended its powertrain protection plan, which provides – at no charge –a seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain protection plan on any new 2001 and 2002 Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge vehicle purchased through March 31, 2002. “The ‘Home for the Holidays’ program was an excellent tool to shift consumers’ attention from the ‘deal’ – rebates and APR special financing – to the value of our vehicles,” said Jim Schroer, executive vice president – global sales and marketing. “Since launching ‘Home for the Holidays,’ all of our sales indicators are up: showroom traffic, closing ratios, and most importantly, sales.”
