AmeriCredit Chooses AutoIMS to Manage Used Vehicles

November 29, 2001

Auto Auction Services Corp. (AASC), a provider of integrated vehicle remarketing services, announced on Nov. 28, 2001, that AmeriCredit, an independent middle-market auto finance company, has selected to manage its used-vehicle inventory.According to Gayle Pavlicek, senior vice president and national manager of asset remarketing for AmeriCredit, AutoIMS has allowed remarketers to manage auction inventories via the Internet rather than chasing information through multiple telephone calls.“We have been able to cease the faxing of condition reports from auctions,” said Chuck Nix, assistant vice president of remarketing for AmeriCredit. “We have reports that help us pre-determine which vehicles have insurable damage and which vehicles need mechanical or body reconditioning. We also have designed reports that help us monitor aged inventory, transportation costs, and overall vehicle expenses.”
