ADESA Kansas City auctioned off General Motors’ 8 millionth vehicle on Sept. 25, 2001. The 8 millionth vehicle designation is computed from the total number of used GM vehicles in existence. For the 8 millionth vehicle’s sale, General Motors selected the south-central region. Within that region, ADESA Kansas City was chosen. “The sale went extremely well with very active bidding,” said Nancy Raz, regional sales manager, south-central region for General Motors. The 8 millionth GM vehicle was a pearl white 1999 Cadillac DeVille 50th Anniversary Edition with approximately 33,000 miles. In a sale of 1,200-plus closed GM units, the 8 millionth car was purchased by Harry Brown General Motors Dealership in Faribault, MN.
