Former Avis Investor Relations Director Among WTC Victims

October 9, 2001

Elizabeth Logler, formerly director of investor relations for Avis Group Inc., was one of the victims that died in the World Trade Center attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Logler left Avis last spring after the company was acquired by Cendant Corp. She went to work doing investor relations for eSpeed, part of the Cantor Fitzgerald brokerage firm that operates multiple buyer/multiple seller real-time electronic marketplaces. Logler was in her office at eSpeed when one of the planes hit. She was engaged to be married at the end of the year. A memorial service was held for her on Sept. 21, 2001 at St. Agnus Cathedral in Rockeville Centre, Long Island, NY.
