Drivers’ Behavior Improved at Charlotte Intersections Without Cameras

Red-light cameras that help reduce crashes also improve drivers’ behavior at intersections without cameras, according to Charlotte traffic experts, the USA Today reported. The city released data last month that showed accidents caused by drivers running a red light decreased by 37 percent at 17 intersections where the cameras were first installed in 1998.
