DaimlerChrysler Offers 0% Interest on '02 Ram

October 23, 2001

Dodge Dodge dealers will offer zero-percent financing on the redesigned 2002 Dodge Ram pickup. The new deal is not part of the national zero-percent financing introduced last month by Daim-lerChrysler AG’s Chrysler Group, Dodge’s parent company. Dealers will pay down the interest using money already provided by Chrysler to subsidize advertising and other marketing costs. There is no additional cost to Chrysler and no impact on the automaker’s per-vehicle profit, said Chrysler spokesman Michael Rosenau. The offer excludes California and other smaller markets.
