Ford and Navistar Form Company to Manufacture Medium-Duty Trucks

Ford Motor Co. and Navistar International Corp. have formed a new company, Blue Diamond Truck Co., that will manufacture medium-duty trucks. It will produce Class 6 and 7 trucks in Navistar’s plant in Escobedo, Mexico. The trucks will be marketed under the nameplates of both companies. The trucks will share a common chassis, but will feature different cab designs. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
