Christy Coyte Meyer, corporate global fleet director for Johnson Controls, Inc.

PLYMOUTH, MI – Christy Coyte Meyer has been promoted to the role of corporate global fleet director for Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI), effective Nov. 1. She was previously corporate global fleet manager. 

Coyte Meyer has been with Johnson Controls for 34 years and has more than 15 years of experience in the fleet industry. Under her leadership, she and her teams work with the JCI enterprise to develop and implement strategies to bring continuity, best practices, cost-effective solutions, and the safe operation of 20,000 company fleet and vehicle reimbursement drivers around the world. She also drives the fleet’s greenhouse gas (GHG) and sustainability efforts. (Johnson Controls ranked No. 37 on the Top 300 Commercial Fleets and No. 49 on the Top 50 Green Fleets listings for 2012.)
 
Coyte Meyer’s involvement in the fleet industry includes: Great Lakes Chapter vice chairman for the NAFA Fleet Management Association; LeasePlan's Global and U.S. Advisory Boards; and the General Motors Global Advisory Board. She is also the JCI representative for the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities Coalition, and was one of the founding members of the "Women in Fleet" networking group.
 
In 2009, Coyte Meyer was named Professional Fleet Manager of the Year from among a total of 11 highly qualified nominees. Automotive Fleet will also be featuring her as one of the "Top 25 Women in Fleet" in the December issue.
