Fleet Response Promotes Scott Mawaka to Chairman of the Board & CEO

CLEVELAND, OH — Fleet Response announced it has promoted Scott Mawaka to the position of Chairman of the Board & CEO. Prior to this promotion, Mawaka served as President and COO for Fleet Response since 2007.

“Scott has been at the helm of this company for the past four years and under his guidance Fleet Response has grown exponentially,” said Ron Mawaka, Sr., past Chairman of the Board & CEO and Fleet Response founder.  “To promote him to this position was the most logical decision for the board of directors.”

Since Scott Mawaka was promoted to the position of president in 2007, Fleet Response has experienced more than 48 percent growth in revenue and has felt a 30 percent increase in employees, according to the company. In 2010, Fleet Response was also recognized on the Weatherhead100 list of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio.

One department that Scott Mawaka and the leadership team have focused on in the aspect of additional staffing is Information Technology. The IT team is utilizing the additional staffing to perform upgrades to its Client On-Line Information Service (OLIS), which will be rolling out to all current and new clients fall 2011 under a new name, FleetSuite. Fleet Response will also be launching a new corporate website in the coming months, according to the company.
