DETROIT – General Motors announced that its 2012-MY Cadillac SRX will feature a number of upgrades over the previous model year. The new SRX will feature a 308-horsepower 3.6L direct-injected V-6 engine that offers a selectable ECO mode to optimize fuel economy.

General Motors said the new LFX engine’s fuel economy is comparable to the engine in the SRX’s predecessor due to its more mass-efficient design and available ECO mode. Other upgrades include standard Bluetooth on all models, an optional heated steering wheel, a xenon Blue Metallic exterior paint option (available in fall 2011), an all-ebony interior option with contrasting stitching, and a new 20-inch wheel finish option.

Other SRX features included an all-wheel drive system with an electronic limited slip rear differential, Adaptive Real-Time damping technology for ride control, Rainsense automatic windshield wipers (that are connected to the braking system), HID headlamps with Adaptive Forward Lighting, a full-color LCD Driver Info Center, and a rear-view camera system. OnStar comes standard and provides myCadillac and OnStar RemoteLink mobile apps and Stolen Vehicle Assistance.

MSRP for the 2012-SRX is $36,060 without the destination charge.
