General Motors Fleet and Commercial Operations has appointed Dana Hammer, a 25-year employee, as manager, Law Enforcement Vehicles. Hammer's GM career has been primarily spent at Chevrolet, managing the Chevrolet and GMC Business Central dealer programs, and also serving as key manager of the GM Certified Used Vehicle program.

"In the current resource constrained environment, we are dedicated to the law enforcement and government market and are pleased to appoint someone of Dana's capability to this critical function," said Jim Campbell, general manager, GM Fleet & Commercial Operations.

Hammer succeeds Bruce Wiley, who passed away in December 2008 after a long battle with cancer. "Bruce was a business associate and personal friend to so many people within the GM team and he will be greatly missed. We are proud that he was part of our team," said Joyce Mattman, director commercial product, GM Fleet & Commercial Operations.

Hammer received a bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin - Stout and an MBA from Oakland University, Rochester, Mich., and is also a former ASE Certified Automotive Technician.
