Subaru's 2018 Legacy will add a new feature known as Steering Responsive Headlights that aims the lights into turns as the driver steers, Subaru has announced.

The mid-size sedan will also add sportier styling, an upgraded interior, smoother and quieter ride, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and new multimedia capabilities as part of the mid-cycle update. Subaru will unveil the 2018 Legacy at the Chicago Auto Show, which begins Feb. 11.

In addition to the responsive headlights, Limited models with the EyeSight safety package offer automatic high beams as High Beam Assist.

Powertrain options carry over from the prior model. The 2018 Legacy is available with a 2.5L four-cylinder Boxer engine that makes 175 hp or a 3.6L six-cylinder Boxer engine. Subaru pairs the engines with its Lineartronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) that offers a manual mode via paddle shifting.
