The Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) has announced that it has launched a Global Fleet Initiative.

While AFLA’s focus will remain on the U.S., the Global Fleet Initiative was created to recognize that many U.S.-based fleet managers are increasingly working for multinational companies with regional, multi-regional, or global fleet responsibilities.

AFLA’s Global Fleet Initiative is designed to develop and promote global fleet best practices, build bridges with multinational fleet organizations, and provide fleet managers and stakeholders with up-to-date, cutting-edge regional market intelligence.

To achieve these goals, AFLA has created a Globalization Committee of top-level fleet managers and stakeholders to help implement the initiative under the guidance of the AFLA Board of Directors. Members of the AFLA Globalization Committee include:

  • Mike Antich, Automotive Fleet.
  • Michael Bieger, ADP.
  • Michele Cunningham, Element Fleet Management.
  • Heidi DiAngelo, Element Fleet Management.
  • Norman Din, Wheels.
  • John Dmochowsky, Mondelez International.
  • Bill Elliott, AFLA
  • Rob Hill, ARI.
  • Chris Hoolehan, GM.
  • Kevin Neal, Nissan.
  • Alessandro Pigazzi, Arval.
  • Steve Schoefs, Nexus Communication.
  • Caroline Thonnon, Nexus Communication.
  • Jon Toups, LeasePlan.
  • Doug Walczak, Ford.

If you would like to take part in the committee or help AFLA in achieving the goals of the Global Fleet Initiative, contact Mike Antich, chairman of the AFLA Globalization Committee. Antich is also the editor of Automotive Fleet and chairman of the Global Fleet Conference.
