Element Fleet Management has signed a strategic global agreement that brings Telogis' connected vehicle technologies and mobile apps to the fleet management company's commercial fleet customers.

The strategic relationship brings a range of telematics services and products to the largest North American fleet management company. The strategic relationship allows Element to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency, according to a Telogis release.

The agreement is global in the sense that it will bring Telogis products to Element Fleet customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.

The Telogis Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based platform of applications includes vehicle and equipment telematics, mobile compliance and gamification apps, work order management, truck-specific navigation and route optimization that bring increased productivity, safety and efficiency to mobile enterprises of any size.

"The demand for connected intelligence continues to grow, and partnering with Element will enable us to work together to connect their enterprise customers and transform the way they do business," said Susan Heystee, executive vice president of worldwide sales for Telogis.

Telogis has been establishing partnerships with car and truck manufacturers to deliver telematics products and services built into vehicles from the factory, including Ford, General Motors, Hino, Mack, Volvo Trucks, Isuzu, and Manitowoc Cranes.

"We believe that OEMs will play a key role in the future of telematics, and the relationships that Telogis has established bring significant value to our long-term strategy," said Michele Cunningham, Element's senior vice president of products and services.
