ElDorado Mobility, a Kansas-based manufacturer specializing in paratransit van conversions, is recalling 201 2012-2015 model-year Dodge/Chrysler Amerivan 10 vehicles to address a fire risk, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

In these vans, the upper rear shock absorber mounting bracket and the upper end of the shock absorber may separate from the chassis, possibly causing damage to the heater hose or fuel filler hose, NHTSA said. Damage to the fuel filler hose could result in a fuel leak, posing a fire risk.

To resolve the problem, ElDorado dealers will replace the mounting bracket and weld the new bracket to the vehicle chassis. A suspension strap will also be added. These repairs will be made free of charge.

The converted vans were manufactured from Nov. 2, 2012, to April 8 of this year.

Van owners can reach ElDorado customer service at (785) 827-1033.
