Isuzu Commercial Truck of America has delivered its 500,000th North American cabover to a furniture retailer in Georgia, the truck maker has announced.

Isuzu's milestone vehicle, an N-Series truck, went to Farmers Home Furniture in Dublin, Ga., and marked a sales milestone for Isuzu, which entered the North American market in 1984. The truck also marked the 235th Isuzu truck purchased by the delivery fleet. The company began buying Isuzu cabovers in late 1998.

"Our drivers like them because they're so maneuverable, and they offer a high cab design with a panoramic view that makes them easy to drive," said Phillip Faircloth, Farmers' president and chief executive. "From a company perspective, we like them because of their reliability, long-term dependability and fuel efficiency."

Farmers Home Furniture now counts 187 stores throughout the Southeast.
