Mitsubishi Recalls Lancers, Outlanders for Blower Motors

Mitsubishi Motors North America is recalling 76,958 2009-2011 model-year Lancer, 2010-2011-MY Lancer Sportback, 2010-2011-MY Lancer Evolution, 2009-2011-MY Outlander and 2011-MY Outlander Sport vehicles so dealers can replace their blower motors, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

In these vehicles, the blower motor is at risk for failing, which could affect performance of the windshield defroster, NHTSA said. This might diminish the driver’s visibility and pose a safety risk.
