Global Fleet.com has organized its first two-day regional Fleet Summit in Istanbul in early June to examine in detail the emerging fleet market in Turkey, along with a focus on the markets in neighboring countries.

The inaugural event, which has the backing of TOKKDER, the Turkish Automotive Leasing and Rental Companies Association, is aimed at international and national fleet decision makers who want to understand more about the emerging fleet market in the region, according to organizers.

The event is being held at the CVK Bosphorus Park hotel, close to the center of Istanbul. Day one, Tuesday June 2, will focus on the key elements in today’s and tomorrow's Turkish and international fleet environment.

A series of four expert sessions will begin on the first morning with an examination of the Turkish fleet market, looking at its business specifics, its potential and the challenges and opportunities it presents.

This will be followed by a session examining how Turkey can be integrated into an international fleet environment, considering the do’s and don’ts of internationalization and globalization and looking at the keys to success.

Following a networking lunch, the afternoon session will consider how to identify European and international trends influencing the Turkish market, and the impact for suppliers and fleet operators of issues such as residual values, taxation, the environment and market saturation.

The day’s final session will examine the move from the total cost of ownership (TCO) to the total cost of mobility (TCM), and look in detail at the changing elements within TCO and the implementation of an effective TCM model.

After a networking dinner at the end of day one, the next day, Wednesday June 3rd, will focus on the state of the fleet markets in four different countries within the region: Russia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, and Romania.

The Summit will close following a networking lunch by early afternoon on day two.
