Service King Collision Repair Centers has further expanded in the Chicago metro area by acquiring Loro Auto Works.

The merger marks Service King’s second in the Chicago area this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Loro Auto Works operated a single location in Oak Park, Ill.

“We are honored to extend our Chicago footprint further into Cook County with this partnership,” said Jerod Guerin, regional vice president of Service King Collision Repair Centers. “The Loro team has built a solid reputation in Oak Park, and we are excited to continue building on the reputation.”

Service King now operates 230 facilities in 21 states across the country.

Bob Loro founded Loro Auto Works in 1982. The company operated one of the largest auto body shops in the area. The facility is 36,000 square feet.

“It is my pleasure after 32 years of business in the Oak Park community to join the Service King nationwide network of collision repair facilities,” said Loro. “I chose Service King to carry on the fine tradition of expert collision repair and painting that Oak Park has come to expect. The staff will remain to continue to meet this high standard that has become the trademark of our repairs.”
