General Motors is recalling 58,698 2013-2015 model-year Cadillac ATS sedans because their power-operated sunroof panels are at risk for unintended closure, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

The problem lies with the design of the sunroof panel "slide" and "tilt" switches. Because they're not fully recessed, a driver or occupant is more likely to press them inadvertently. If the sunroof panel is open, this will cause the sunroof to auto-close unexpectedly.

To resolve the problem, Cadillac dealers will replace the sunroof console accessory-switch trim plate. There will be no charge for this service.

The recall affects sedans manufactured from April 25, 2012, to Feb. 9, 2015. Vehicle owners can reach Cadillac customer service at (800) 458-8006. GM's number for this recall is 15119.
