The redesigned 2014 MINI Cooper will start at $20,745, while the MINI Cooper S gets a $24,395 base price, MINI USA has announced.

The vehicles will now carry the new MINI Hardtop nomenclature when they arrive in the spring. These will be the third generation of the vehicle.

The MINI Hardtop Cooper and Cooper S are getting a longer wheelbase, front-wheel-drive platform, and three available engines. They will include an optional "green" driving mode that will lower fuel consumption by 27 percent compared to the 2013 models.
