Lexus will show off its concept LF-NX compact luxury crossover later this month at the Toyota Motor Show in Tokyo, the automaker announced.

Lexus confirmed the SUV would get a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine instead of the hybrid version shown in September at the Frankfurt motor show in an announcement Monday.

The vehicle's lower center of gravity and front under-spoiler gives it a sportier look, according to Lexus. The vehicle will also include a new remote touch interface with touchpad in the cockpit.

The Lexus compact SUV concept arrives as Mercedes-Benz announced it will bring its 2015 GLA 250 compact SUV to the Los Angeles Auto Show.
