At the 2013 Fleet Safety Conference, scheduled for June 25-27 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel, the National Safety Council’s (NSC) Senior Director, Transportation Strategic Initiatives David Teater will deliver a keynote address on how distracted driving affects employers, from employee safety to liability.

Teater leads the NSC’s advocacy efforts to reduce the number of deaths and injuries associated with distracted driving. Teater’s 30-year business career has included serving as CEO of several private companies including 20 years at an automotive supplier that provided research and strategy consulting services to most auto manufacturers. He also served as a board member and investor, and helped launch a technology company developing solutions to distracted driving.

Teater joined the NSC after its call for a nationwide ban on cell phone driving. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of distracted driving and has been featured in many national publications and news broadcasts.
