AALA members enjoyed a warm Florida convention in 1982. During the convention, an informal survey of the leaders was conducted to determine the value of specific automobiles in the 24-36 months from January 1982. The top cars thought to be most valuable by the group were A-car, F-car, Oldsmobile, K-car, Mercedes 300SD, Honda, and Toyota Celica.
PONTE VEDRA, FL – John Blessing, former president of McCullagh Leasing, passed away July 22 after a long illness. He was 78.

GE Capital purchased McCullagh Leasing from the Bank of New England to expand into the regional, small to mid-sized fleet market. GE Capital's strategy is to maintain McCullagh's U.S. operation as a separate entity.
As McCullagh's new president, Culotta has charge of a firm that leases or rents more than 80,000 cars and trucks. The company offers vehicle leasing, fleet and maintenance management, and rental car services to commercial and governmental enterprises through 19 regional distribution and sales offices nationwide.
One of the larger lessors in the vehicle leasing business, McCullagh leased a limited number of cars and trucks in the early fifties building to a force of 22,000 by 1970, and climbing to 75,000 in the last 14 years. Along the way, McCullagh also created an impressive portfolio of equipment and aircraft leases.
Enterprise, McCullagh & Hertz see smaller, lighter cars as the answer.
