FLORIDA - The founder of fleet management company Donlen, Donald (Don) Rappeport, passed away on April 6, 2012. Rappeport founded Donlen with partner Leonard (Len) Vine in 1965 in a small office in Lincolnwood, Ill. He served as company CEO until he retired in 2001. He remained chairman of the board until 2011.
When Don Rappeport and Len Vine launched Donlen in 1965, they did more than combine their first names, they instituted a commitment to customer service that is still typified to this day by the Deerfield, IL lessor.
