Survey Says Fleet Managers Want More Technology Solutions But Few Can Adopt Them

MT LAUREL, NJ – A new survey of 147 fleet professionals by Automotive Resources International (ARI) found that although 86% of them said fleet technologies could make their fleet processes more efficient, less than half (44%) said they will invest in new technologies in the coming year.

A Double Whammy for Truck Fleets: Ticket ‘Inflation’ and ‘Malicious Compliance’

Ticket fees have escalated dramatically and there appears to be a trend toward "malicious compliance," all for the sake of generating revenue. It's not uncommon for multiple tickets to be issued for the same violation due to overlapping regulations and the 'latitude' of interpretation afforded to officers. Most Fleets Unprepared for CSA 2010

SafeStat has been replaced by Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) 2010, which applies to all truck fleets that operate interstate and require a US DOT number. All vehicles that operate interstate with a 10,001-lb. combined GVWR or greater are covered by CSA 2010. This regulatory enforcement change will create a monumental sea change in how truck fleets manage drivers, their fleet operations, and remain DOT compliant.
