Volkswagen has debuted its 2019 Arteon fastback-style mid-size sedan that replaces the discontinued CC at the Chicago Auto Show today.

The front-wheel-drive Arteon, which will be built in Volkswagen's MQB platform, arrives in three trim grades (SE, SEL, SEL Premium) and a single engine — a 2.0-liter TSI engine that's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and optional 4Motion all-wheel drive. The powertrain should make 268 horsepower.

The vehicle will carry a six-year, 72,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty.

Standard features include 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, LED headlights, Front Assist, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, and DCC adaptive damping.
