Audi's 2018 Q5 provides 25 mpg in combined city and highway driving, a nearly 14% improvement over the outgoing model, Audi has announced.

In individual driving cycles, the 2018 Q5 provides 23 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The combined and city ratings would be higher than many competitive 2017 compact luxury SUV models, including the Acura RDX AWD, BMW X3 xDrive28i, Infiniti QX50 AWD, Jaguar F-Pace 35t, Lexus NX 200t AWD, Lexus RX 350, Mercedes-Benz GLC300 4Matic, and the Volvo XC60 AWD.

The 2018 Q5 is powered by a new 2.0L TSFI four-cylinder that's mated to a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine makes 252 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.
