Mitsubishi is introducing an upgraded 2017 Outlander Sport compact SUV model that will slot above the base model and include high-intensity headlights, a rear-view camera, and other features, the company announced.

Mitsubishi will show the 2017 Outlander Sport Limited Edition at the Chicago Auto Show, and send it to dealer lots in late February. It will retail for $21,995. The 2016-MY Outlander Sport base model retailed for at least $19,595.

The Outlander Sport Limited Edition will also offer new exterior aesthetics including an alloy fuel door, black painted door mirrors and 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, and a Limited Edition badge.

While the Limited Edition trim is available in all Outlander Sport exterior colors, the interior receives a custom design with black fabric and red stitching on the steering wheel, shift knob and brake lever exclusive to the LE trim. Other interior features include aluminum pedals, heated front seats and a display audio system with Smartphone Link for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
