Audi will offer the 2017 A4 Ultra as a higher-efficiency model that improves highway fuel economy by more than 19% over the outgoing A4 entry luxury sedan.

The 2017 A4 Ultra provides an EPA-rated 27 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, and 27 mpg in combined driving cycles. The EPA has rated the 2016 A4 at 24 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway, and 27 mpg combined. The A4 Ultra improves highway fuel economy by 19.3%.

The front-wheel-drive A4 Ultra is powered by a more efficient 2.0L TFSI engine that makes 190 hp and 236 lb.-ft. of torque. The car delivers power though a 7-speed S tronic transmission. It arrives with standard driver-assistance features such as Audi Pre Sense City and available features such as Virtual Cockpit. The vehicle will go on sale in the fall.

The A4 Ultra arrive in two models and will retail for $35,850 for the Premium and $39,650 for the Premium Plus.
