Hyundai is adding a few minor updates to the 2016 Accent subcompact that will arrive at dealerships in August with a starting price of $15,570.

Hyundai is updating the naming convensions for the Accent, which will be sold as sedan and hatchback models. The Accent GLS and Accent GS have been renamed to Accent SE Sedan and Accent SE Hatchback for 2016. Accent Hatchback continues to offer a Sport trim, with sportier visual cues and driving dynamics over the SE trim.

The Accent is powered by a 1.6-liter Gamma four-cylinder engine that makes 137 hp and 123 lb.-ft. of torque. It has been given a U.S. EPA fuel economy rating of 27 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.

Commercial fleets added 1,087 Accent cars in 2013.
