The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the optional 6.2-liter Ecotec3 V-8 and eight-speed transmission finished first in the 2015 PickupTrucks.com Light-Duty Challenge, the website has announced.

A team of five PickupTrucks.com truck experts put five light-duty pickups through a week of testing covering performance, payload and fuel-economy evaluations, and trailering on the Davis Dam grade.

The trucks were scored in six key categories including overall performance, ergonomics, technology and entertainment, suspension and ride, interior and exterior, visibility, and value.
