The refreshed 2016 Lincoln MKX luxury SUV debuted at the North American International Auto Show, offering potential buyers a choice of two V-6 engines.
The mid-size SUV that's based on the Ford Edge offers the choice of a standard 3.7-liter V-6 or 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged Ti-VCT V-6 EcoBoost. The 3.7 produces 300 hp and more than 280 lb.-ft. of torque, while the 2.7 produces 330 hp and 370 lb.-ft., according to Lincoln.
Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with push-button shift and SelectShift. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional.
The restyled MKX takes its design cues from the Lincoln MKC, a compact luxury SUV introduced for the 2015 model year.
