Hyundai will unveil a new infotainment system for select 2016 models that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The automaker will also move away from a CD player or embedded navigation system.

Hyundai will initially show its new "display audio" system at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show beginning Jan. 6, the automaker has announced.

The new system provides greater integration with smartphones, and displays information on a 7-inch color touch screen mounted in the dashboard. Hyundai hasn't announced which 2016 models will get the system, only saying it will be "select models." The system will eventually be offered across the model line.

Also, the next-gen Blue Link system will move to "more lower price Hyundai models," according to a release. This system will offer remote engine start and automatic collision notification.
