Dodge has provided more details about the redesigned Challenger for 2015, including its Hellcat engine for the SRT lineup that will produce more than 600 horsepower.

The 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat will include a supercharged HEMI 6.2-liter V-8 engine that's the most powerful V-8 ever produced by the automaker, according to Chrysler.

The standard Challenger SRT gets a HEMI V-8 that will deliver 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. Both SRT versions will be paired with a standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The SRT models are also available with a six-speed manual.

The SRT Hellcat will also arrive with forged-aluminum wheels and Pirelli tires with a Y-Plus four-season rating to help handle extreme loads. The vehicle also gets the largest front-brake package ever offered in a Chrysler vehicle.
