Volvo brought its XC Coupe concept vehicle to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week as design precursor to the next-generation XC90 luxury SUV.

The two-door, four-seat XC Coupe rolled into the Cobo Center with 21-inch wheels. Volvo brought the vehicle to "demonstrate the design possibilities of Volvo Cars’ new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) that will underpin most cars from Volvo Cars in the future," according to a Volvo release.

Volvo plans to unveil the new XC90 later this year.
