Volvo will bring its Concept XC Coupé to the Detroit auto show on Jan. 14, offering a preview of its entry into the compact SUV category that will likely have four doors despite its name.

The Concept XC Coupé is a preview of what the 2015 Volvo XC90 luxury SUV will look like when it arrives next year. The compact crossover will likely take its design cues from the XC90 and would be the first new Volvo in the U.S. since the S60 sedan arrived in 2010.

Volvo didn't provide powertrain details about the new crossover, but said it would release more information on Jan. 8 ahead of its world debut at the North American International Auto Show starting Jan. 14.
