Ford to Offer Transit Connect Wagon in U.S. in 2013

The European version of Ford's Transit Connect Wagon, called the Tourneo Connect. The Transit Connect Wagon will go on sale in North America in 2013.

AMSTERDAM – As part of its “Go Further” event in Europe, Ford announced that it plans to sell its Tourneo lineup of passenger vehicles as the Transit Connect Wagon in North America in 2013.
The automaker stated that the European version of the vehicle comes in a five-seat version and a seven-seat model. The vehicle comes wtih sliding rear doors, flexible seating, and a number of "smart" storage areas, according to Ford.
The automaker added it plans to offer the vehicle with gasoline and diesel engines in Europe but hasn’t yet announced powertrain or other details about the version of the vehicle that's slated for the U.S. market.
Ford made this announcement along with reveals of images of the all-new Transit and Transit Connect vans.
