COSTA MESA, CA – Hyundai provided details on the changes to its 2013-MY Accent subcompact. The updated Accent features new standard features for the base model and a range of additional convenience features for higher trim levels.

For the Accent GLS MT base model, Hyundai made air conditioning, AM/FM/SiriusXM Satellite Radio/CD/MP3 audio system with six speakers, iPod/USB auxiliary input jacks, power and heated body-colored side mirrors, body-colored door handles (2012MY M/T Comfort Package) and a sunglass holder all standard features. In addition, the automaker added remote keyless entry and heated side mirrors as standard features on all models. Another standard interior feature is the addition of cloth door inserts on all trim levels.

For the SE trim level, Hyundai added side mirrors with turn signal indicators as standard. This feature is new for the 2013 model-year. Lastly, Hyundai added a power sunroof option (a new feature) for the SE trim level.

Under the hood, the 2013-MY Accent features a 1.6L Gamma four-cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 138 horsepower and 123 lb.-ft. of torque. The vehicle gets an EPA-rated 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway.
