HERNDON, VA – Audi reported that its 2012 Audi A6 3.0 TFSI received the 2012 Car of the Year Award from the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press, which is given to five category winners. The 2012 Vehicle of the Year Awards honor new vehicles for sale in the Rocky Mountain region for their value, performance, fuel economy, comfort, and safety.

Audi said the field for the 2012 awards included new cars, pickups, crossovers, and SUVs for sale in the Rocky Mountain West. The group evaluated more than 70 models in test-drives in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

The group said the all-new 2012 Audi A6 comes equipped with an all-aluminum 3.0 L TFSI supercharged V6 engine with 310 horsepower. In terms of safety features, the A6 features a thermal imaging camera with Night Vision Assistant, the Audi Pre-Sense Plus safety system, and quattro all-wheel drive technology.

The vehicle features factory-installed wireless Internet, which enables features such as Audi connect that provides real-time weather, traffic news, and live fuel prices, and MMI Navigation with 3-D Google Earth images.
