OSHAWA, ONTARIO – General Motors is investing $68 million to prepare its Oshawa, Ontario plant to build the next generation of its Chevrolet Impala.

Although it’s investing in the Oshawa plant, the vehicle will be built at the company’s Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant as well. GM said this specific investment will retain 350 jobs at the plant. Overal, GM is committing $185 million to Oshawa, which will create or retain approximately 750 jobs.
