Audi Launches California Driving Camp
AUBURN HILLS, MI – Audi islaunching driving programs, dubbed the “Sportscar Experience,” at thechallenging 2.5-mile Infineon Raceway in
Sonoma, California, according to www.autoweek.com.The most intense experience is a two-day R8 driving program, which includesplenty of track time and instruction from professional drivers. It costs$3,495.
Driverslooking for just a taste of the R8’s 317 lb-ft of torque can try the one-dayoption, which costs a more budget-conscious $1,895. Audi also is offering one-and two-day RS 4 programs that teach drivers braking, accident avoidance, andother fundamentals. The one-day program costs $1,295, and the two-day eventcosts $2,495. There’s also a half-day option offering drivers an up-close lookat Audi’s S-model lineup, as well as the chance to get behind the wheel of theS8, with its 450-hp V10, for $695.
Theprograms take place at the Audi Forum, which is located on turn one of theraceway. The circuit, located 45 miles north of San Francisco, takes drivers through 12 corners and has drawn comparisonsto Germany’sfamous Nürburgring course.
