Audi AG is recalling about 850,000 Audi A4 sedans, wagons and all-road vehicles – including 102,000 sedans in the U.S. − so that dealers can correct the air bag software, according to reports from Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport magazine and Reuters.

The software problem is unrelated to the Takata air bag recalls.

The recalled Audi vehicles were manufactured from November 2011 to early October of this year. A glitch in the software code may prevent the air bags from deploying properly during a crash.

The recall also includes about 250,000 vehicles in China and 150,000 in Germany.
