ElDorado Mobility Inc. is recalling 6,145 2010-2017 Amerivan wheelchair-accessible vehicles so the company can address a potential fuel-leaking problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The crimp fasteners that secure the fuel line connectors may not be fully crimped, allowing fuel to leak, NHTSA said. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

ElDorado Mobility dealers will replace the fuel lines, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin Nov. 20.

This recall supersedes a previous one. Vehicles repaired under the previous recall still need to have the new repair.

Vehicle owners can reach ElDorado Mobility customer service at (800) 955-9086.
