General Motors is recalling 768 2016- and 2017-model year Buick Envision compact SUVs because head restraints might malfunction, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

A tablet holder accessory from NSV Automotive may have been installed incorrectly onto the front-seat head restraint, preventing the head restraint posts from fully engaging in the seat back.

“If the head restraint posts are not fully engaging in the seat back, the head restraint may loosen or dislodge, increasing the risk of injury in a crash,” NHTSA warned on its website.

GM dealers will inspect the head restraints and tablet holders to ensure they’re installed properly. They will be reinstalled if necessary, free of charge.

Vehicle owners can reach Buick customer service at (800) 521-7300. GM’s number for this recall is 17239/17258.
