Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 17,694 Audi A7 luxury cars in the 2015 to 2017 model years because the head curtain air bags might malfunction during a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

Dealers will replace the faulty head curtain air bags, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin June 29.

Vehicle owners can reach Audi customer service at (800) 253-2834. Volkswagen’s number for the recall is 69R2.
