The nomination deadline for the 2017 Fleet Safety Award has been extended to Monday, May 8.

The award honors a fleet or risk management professional whose leadership and innovation have enhanced the safety of fleet drivers and the general public. Nomination entries should include measurable results. Candidates working with light- and medium-duty fleets are eligible.

Nikith Rajendran, SolarCity's fleet operations director, was named the winner of the 2016 Fleet Safety award at last year's conference.

A panel of industry leaders will evaluate the nomination entries to determine the winner. The award will be presented at the 2017 Fleet Safety Conference on July 25.

The American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA) and Automotive Fleet magazine produce the Fleet Safety Conference, which will be held July 25-26 in Schaumburg, Ill. For details about the conference, click here.
